Friday 1
Nothing occurs worthy of particular remark_
Saturday 2
Cha.s Favel finished the floor of two rooms in the new House_ The shell of the Kitchen is nearly finished.
Sunday 3
The total want of Salmon makes it necessary to feed the men on our little stock of corn, this however cannot last long.
Monday 4
Fine weather_ The men resumed work as usual_ Martele & Ignace cutting roofing sticks for the mens house_ Lefleure & Fallerdeau finished recovering the roof of the dwelling House, it being so ill done in Spring that the last rain we had ran through it in streams_
Tuesday 5
Clear warm weather_ The river falling fast, but no Salmon as usual_ Cha.s Favel cealing one of the rooms Fallerdeau dressing boards Lefleure & Martele at work with the Kitchen Ignace cutting wood for the roof of the Mens House. Looking out for news from Frasers River, the Ind.ns there having promised Lolo to send us word of success in fishing_ The few Ind.ns in our immediate vicinity, having given up all hopes of securing any thing here for winter subsistence, are at present much alarmed&~.
Wednesday 6
Weather as yesterday_ and work proceeds as before_ A good many White Salmon were caught last night_ They are very bad still, they are better than none.
Thursday 7
Overcast_ Ind.ns arrived from the upper Lake much discouraged at the present appearance of things_ At the corresponding period of the preceding year they had an abundant stock of dried Salmon while immense numbers in both the rivers & Lakes were still flowing in upon them_
Friday 8
A few drops of rain in the morning Agreeably surprised by arrival of two Ind.ns from F. River with the welcome news of their having a considerable quantity of Salmon to trade_

Clear & warm_ Part of the Salmon rec.d yesterday was put into the new Store opposite Cord, Saddles & appichemons collected preparatory to another trip another supply of goods was also given to Lolo, who thinks he can yet procure 10000 Salmon more_

Pleasant weather_ Collecting the horses

Still warm_ Lolo, being rather indisposed till about midday when M.r William Todd & he with Ignace, Lefleure & Martele set out once more on a Salmon trip to F. River, they have in all upwards of sixty horses with them_

Rain_ Two Ind.ns brought us a few pieces chev.l meat. very poor_

Cloudy & windy_ Two men Favel & Fallardeau employed at the new house
Wednesday 27
Sent two Indians with four horses to the old Chief of the upper Lake for six Kegs potatoes, which he promised us_
Thursday 28
Fine weather_ Men as before.
Friday 29
Slight shower of rain, but the tops of the mountains at a distance begin to put their winter cap on_
Saturday 30
Cloudy & windy_ an Ind.n brought us part of a deer_ rather better than the last The two Ind.ns sent for the potatoes arrived with six bags all safe_ report that we may have more by sending for them_
