Summary Andrew McCulloch papers 1905-1932 include handwritten level books and field books pertaining to the Kettle Valley Railway, the Canadian Pacific Railway, and the Great Northern Railroad and railway surveying in the following areas: Coquihalla; Princeton; Midway; Penticton; Wetaskiwin; and Field Hill. Also includes a hand drawn map of Vancouver Island.

David MacDonald collection 1981-1982 includes sound recordings of interviews of early pioneers and developers of the Summerland, Penticton, and Naramata areas pertaining to: schools and schooling, 1912-1920; the fruit industry and trade, 1912-; early development of Penticton, 1915-1928; the beginning of Greyhound Bus Service, 1932; flood control on the Penticton Creek, 1950; and the development of the West Bench district of Penticton, 1952.

Bio/hist Note Jack McCallum moved to Copper Mountain with his parents in 1928. His father was hoistman at the Copper Mountain mine. Evelyn moved to Copper Mountain when she married Jack.
Summary Jack and Evelyn McCallum collection 1928-1957 includes an album of photographs pertaining to: Copper Mountain townsite; mine buildings; cookhouse crew and mess hall waitresses; `department store' manager and staff; Allenby concentrator; Allenby bunkhouse; and damage done by a mountain slide at Hedley, 1939. Collection also includes newspaper clippings pertaining to a bunkhouse fire and Copper Mountain and Allenby.

Bio/hist Note Jack Petley was Assistant Superintendent of Kettle Valley Railway and Senior Officer in charge of paddle wheelers on rivers and lakes in the Okanagan-Similkameen regions. He retired from this position in 1976.
Summary Jack Petley collection 1897-1976 includes: Okanagan Landing and vessel employees' timebooks, ca. 1900-1920; sheet records of barges and tugs in the British Columbia Lake and River Service (B.C.L & R.S.); tug logs; postcards of Summerland wharf and station; book made up in the office of the Superintendent of the Kettle Valley Railway giving details of the vessels in the B.C.L.& R.S. over the years; New Year's dinner menu from S.S. Sicamous , 1918; Andrew McCulloch's daily diary, 1910-1911; Andrew McCulloch's Kettle Valley Railway personal staff record card and staff file; Andrew McCulloch's personal account of the building of the Kettle Valley Railway tracks and opening for traffic; all Kettle Valley Railway timecards excepting no. 1, 1916-1937; letter written by the Kettle Valley Railway Vice-President pertaining to a proposed golf course in Penticton, with attached plan; rule books and other railway schedules and instruction books; Vice-presidents' information book pertaining to all structures on the Kettle Valley Railway; Kettle Valley Railway train sheets; and correspondence pertaining to executive decisions on the Coquihalla railway. Collection also includes photographs pertaining to the Kettle Valley Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway.
Restrictions The majority of the collection is currently housed with Special Collections, at the University of British Columbia.
