Bio/hist Note Osoyoos Indian Reserves, No. 1 and No. 3, comprise approximately 32,000 acres of land in the South Okanagan extending from Gallagher Lake to the Canadian/American border. The Band has approximately 300 members, seventy-five percent of whom live on reserve land. The Osoyoos Indian Band is a member of the Okanagan Tribal Council. Prior to 1975, most of the administration for the Osoyoos Indian Band was done through the Department of Indian Affairs' Okanagan Indian Agency in Vernon. in Vernon.

The Inkameep Campground is located at the south end of the reserves, on Osoyoos Lake. Chianut Farms, est. 1987-1989, raised cattle and alfalfa hay on 1,000 acres of irrigated land near old Fairview.

Bio/hist Note The Similkameen Indian Administration serves as an administrative arm of government for the Upper and Lower Similkameen Indian Bands, which belong to the Okanagan Indian Nation. The Similkameen Indian Reserves encompass a total of approximately 40,000 acres, located intermittently from north of Princeton, east to Keremeos and Penticton, and south to the Canadian/American border. There are approximately forty members in the North Similkameen Indian Band and four hundred and fifty in the South Similkameen Indian Band. The bands have separate councils but share a common administrative office in Keremeos.
General note For editorial purposes the reserves administered by the Similkameen Indian Administration have been referred to as the Similkameen Indian Reserves. In reality, Lower Similkameen Indian Band reserves include: Similkameen Indian Reserve 2; Narcisse Farm Indian Reserve 4; Blind Creek Indian Reserve 6; Skemeoskuankin Indian Reserve 7 and 8; Alexis Creek Indian Reserve 9; Ashnola Indian Reserve 10; Keremeos Forks Indian Reserve 12 and 12A; Rangeland Indian Reserve No. 13.
