Annie Moberly (nee Tomlinson) Annie Tomlinson was born in Ankitlas, BC. When her family arrived at Meanskinisht she was eight years old. As an adult she worked in Hazelton’s hospital for a year, and then traveled to Victoria. However, once she arrived, she was summoned back to Meanskinisht, and became the village’s teacher. She had a good knowledge of Gitksan and later became one of the village’s historians as she recounted her experiences there to audiotape. She passed away in 1969 at the age of 89.
