Socio-Economic Montage

The "Socio-Economic Montage" is intended to promote the education of the general public - to provide individuals who have previously had limited access to existing information, with a better understanding of the communities and regions within the Basin.

The "Montage" focuses on the socio-economic area: agriculture, economics, education, energy, First Nations, forestry, health, housing, land use, mining, recreation, social, technology, tourism, and transportation. The project includes abstracts on 35 selected studies and research recently undertaken in the Columbia Basin region, hard copies of over 30 documents and a catalogue of 437 entries referencing other recent studies and research.

The abstracts are intended to provide the public with both summary and specific information, while the catalogue of references is a compilation of available socio-economic resources on the Columbia Basin area.
