Fishing
The
primary challenge for the kokanee fisherman is to get his gear down
deep, where the kokanee spend a lot of their time.
Using large weights or weighted line means that you have
very little sense of playing the small kokanee, so lots of fishermen
use a downrigger arrangement, that carries a lightly-weighted line
down to the right depth, and then releases it. Lures tend towards flashy hardware. No one has ever been able to explain why a fish addicted to
microscopic copepods would bite on a brightly-colored slab of tin,
but they do. |
