ERNIE ALEXANDER

Born at house in Kaslo B.C. December 21/1914.
(85 year resident of Cooper Creek B.C.)

Parents: James Alexander/Margaret Luke
Homesteaded  54 acres in Cooper Creek. Youngest only son with 3 older sisters.

Livelihood: farmed, trapped, road foreman, owned Cooper Creek trailer court with wife Nell.

Hobbies; Guitar/mouth organ, fishing, horseback riding, prospecting, hiking/backpacking, sketching, writes articles on local history for local paper. Author of  "Lardeau/Duncan Memories".

NELL ALEXANDER

Born: December 30/1916, Sturgenville/Alberta

Parents: James Latimer/ Marion Turton
(Nell 12th child in a family of 13)
1944 Travelled by C.P.R. to Proctor/B.C. 
Then by S.S. Moyie to Lardeau, 

Married; Ernie Alexander and moved to Alexander farm in Cooper Creek B.C.

Livelihood: Owner of Cooper Creek trailer court.

Raised five children, volunteer for P.T.A. (31 yr board member of Lardeau Valley Community Club. Secretary for Lardeau Valley Historical Society.

Hobbies: Gardening, quiltmaking, oil painting, knitting and sewing.
